Es un arbusto treparador nativo de Chile, que florece en temporada estival en la alta montaña de la Cuenca del Lago Ranco. Esta planta, a través de sus raíces adventicias, va trepando por sobre la corteza de los árboles superiores del bosque hasta lograr cubrir incluso gran parte de la copa de éstos, para así alcanzar mayor luz solar.
MIEL MONOFLORAL
En su origen botánico predomina principalmente el néctar y polen de la flor del Boqui.
